TRAFFIC MANAGER

Big Communications is looking for an experienced Traffic Manager.?A minimum of 3 years traffic experience at an agency or similar business is required. ?This person must be a strong multi-tasker with excellent oral and written communication skills; highly organized and adaptable in a fast paced work environment. ?This position is responsible for ensuring the timeliness of each project from conception to completion as it moves through the system.

Responsibilities:

  • Holds daily meetings with creative and account service staff to determine priorities and adjusts job schedules when necessary.
  • Sets timelines for each active project.
  • Schedules kick-off meetings with team as needed to start a new job.
  • Daily monitoring of jobs and their due dates to assure all deadlines are met and the jobs are moving according to schedule.
  • Manages and facilitates weekly creative meeting; creates weekly creative job priority list and updates it daily.
  • Manages the job status report of all active agency jobs, updating it daily and sharing with agency staff.
  • Assures that clear and complete information is given to the creative staff on all new jobs and change orders.
  • Obtains spec information from media or account service.
  • Ensures all jobs are approved by appropriate staff members.
  • Works with production to assure all deadlines are met.
  • Manages server job folders.
  • Notifies creative management team of any scheduling conflicts.

PUBLIC RELATIONS SPECIALIST

Big Communications is looking for a Public Relations Specialist with experience in integrated communications management and execution experience, including media relations and management, developing plans, launch strategies, product positioning, pitching stories, budget responsibility, media training, messaging and creative tactical ideas. The ideal PR Specialist thrives in a fast-paced, teamwork-oriented environment and has solid relationships with writers, bloggers and editors covering various industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, maintain and grow relationships with local, regional and national media.
  • Identify client communication goals and develop and implement long-term strategic plans.
  • Write press materials (media pitches, press releases, sound bites, etc.) and client briefings.
  • Manage, maintain and grow client relationships.
  • Develop messaging/talking points and execute media tours and event activation.
  • Capitalize on trends and issues dominating national and local news cycles and see how our client messages can be inserted into the meme.
  • Host clients at key industry events such as product launches and trade shows.
  • Develop in-the-moment tactics that allow our clients to respond quickly to current issues and effectively position themselves and/or their products in a positive light.
  • Social media campaign development and implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor?s degree required in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English or related field.
  • 3-5 years experience required.
  • Agency and/or corporate experience a plus.
  • Writing experience required and writing samples preferred.
  • A working knowledge of social media planning and implementation.

SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for daily contact between the agency and multiple client accounts. The Senior Account Executive interfaces with various agency departments to move projects through the agency on behalf of the client. This includes meeting with the creative director concerning creative issues and input, the media director concerning media issues, the public relations director concerning publicity, the director of interactive marketing concerning interactive projects, the business department with financial concerns and the production manager concerning scheduling and timing.

The Senior Account Executive has major input in developing strategic marketing plans for their clients. After plans are developed and presented to clients, the Senior Account Executive is responsible for carrying out the plan on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Handles day-to-day activities for assigned clients.
  • Keeps apprised of progress of clients? projects through production and traffic managers or other relevant personnel.
  • Receives client briefings. Quickly and accurately relays Client Change Orders to all appropriate agency personnel.
  • Effectively presents, sells and defends all agency work and proposals to clients; supports other client service team members in these functions.
  • Keeps apprised of clients? brands/products/services/marketing developments.
  • Assists in preparing client proposals, marketing communications and strategic marketing plans, media and public relations plans.
  • Regularly checks for and responds promptly to all client communications, including calls, faxes and emails. Communicates with clients after regular work hours when necessary.
  • Coordinates with interactive account executive to ensure traditional/interactive synthesis of marketing efforts.
  • Oversees execution of approved programs.
  • Checks and approves creative/production materials, copy, layouts, and production art, and coordinates client approval.
  • Reviews billing when requested and ensures prompt collection of accounts receivable.
  • Coordinates project timing and budgets with all relevant agency personnel.
  • Actively seeks additional projects/new business from client contacts.
  • Keeps account coordinator/assistant informed of client activities.
  • Represents agency at industry and community functions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years experience as account executive on accounts totaling at least $2 million in billings.
  • Bachelor?s degree in related field.
  • Strong multi-taking skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deliver plans in a short time period.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
