A reshuffled but finalized Bellator 109 lineup is set for the Season 9 finale on November 22 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. As reported earlier, the Bellator 109 lineup will now see middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko put his belt on the line against Season 8 tournament champion Doug “Rhino” Marshall in the main event. Bellator MMA officials announced the change on Tuesday.
Joining Marshall and Shlemenko on the Spike TV main card will be a pair of tournament finals as Will Brooks faces off with Alexander “Tiger” Sarnavskiy in the lightweight final and Rick Hawn faces Ron Keslar in the welterweight final. Both bouts will be for 2014 title shots and $100,000.
Bellator 109 will also see a few notable faces on the card, as former UFC fighters Matt Riddle and Terry Etim make their promotional debuts. The online preliminary card will also see light prospect Bubba Jenkins look to get back on track and Blagoi Ivanov will continue his quest back to the top following his near-death experience after being stabbed in his native Bulgaria.
Tickets for Bellator 109 are currently on sale. The November 22 card will air live via Spike TV at 9PM ET.
